When asked what she would like to wear to present at the Oscars, Cher replied with ‘I’ve been doing these movies where I’m playing the hard-working, blue-collar worker and I’d like to be in something they used to see me in, like on my TV show. I’m thinking maybe a Native American-inspired costume.’ While she was warned she might take the attention away from the winner, she simply stated ‘they won’t care, they’ll like it’. Little did everyone else know, she would later be correct.

The renowned pop icon performed "If I Could Turn Back Time" while wearing a bejeweled mesh bodysuit and leather jacket. She skipped and sang along as if it had been 15 years since her previous appearance at an awards ceremony.
