Who still wears hats? Besides the occasional cap or beanie, hats have diffused out of everyday style. Historically, hats were essential for a completed and prim outfit – even a reflection of social status. We explore hats as a fashion statement with a creative twist as model Chimazu Ndukwe balances multiple hats on her head. We dip our toes into the vast pool that is the topic of hats by utilizing classic and modern hat silhouettes in a new framework we call “the franken-hat", with model Chimazu Ndukwe balancing a tower of hats on her head. On one end of the spectrum, a stacked variety of classic, lady-like hats and on the other end of that spectrum, flat caps, truckers and trapper hats. Models Jaylen Fields and Zach Hausbeck portray businessmen on their way out of the office, hats in hand and on head.
